    Introduction

    About me

I’m a bilingual psychodynamic therapist and registered member of BACP and UKCP. I’ve long been fascinated by the ways our experiences shape how we think, feel, and relate to others.

In therapy, I offer a calm and thoughtful space where you can speak freely about what’s on your mind. Our conversations may explore current challenges, as well as memories, dreams, or earlier experiences that may still influence how you feel today. By gently tracing patterns and emotions back to their roots, we can begin to understand what may be causing distress and how change can become possible.

My approach is grounded in curiosity, patience, and respect for each person’s unique story. I aim to create a reliable and supportive relationship where you feel safe to explore difficult feelings and gain deeper insight into yourself. Through this process, many people begin to feel more free to express themselves and develop a more authentic and spontaneous way of being.

    My approach

What it's like to work with me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and explore what has brought you to therapy. It’s also a chance to see whether we feel comfortable working together and whether this approach feels right for you.

If you’re coming to therapy with a specific difficulty, such as anxiety, depression, past trauma, or relationship challenges—we can work together to understand how current feelings and behaviours may be connected to earlier experiences.

For those who are interested in gaining deeper self-understanding, psychodynamic therapy can also offer a space for reflection and exploration of your inner world. Over time, this process can help bring clarity, relieve emotional distress, and support meaningful change.

Meizhen has experience supporting individuals across a range of mental health and social care settings in the UK. Her early clinical exposure included an internship within the NHS, working with both Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and dementia services, where she gained experience supporting individuals and families navigating complex emotional and psychological challenges.

She has also worked in various mental health and community settings, including mental health hospitals, social care services supporting people with autism, and volunteer work with Samaritans.
